Turn on Overseer

Overseer is optional. Jev scores each finished phase. Coro shows that score on the run as On track, Needs a look, or Off track. Coro runs the same jobs without it.

The full behaviour — when a check runs, how the percentage is chosen, and when a job actually pauses — is in Overseer.

What the rating means

The percentage on the pill is how likely the work still serves the goal you asked for.

70% or moreOn track
40–69%Needs a look
Under 40%Off track

Open the pill for a short readout: the same percentage, whether a requirement looks unmet, and whether the agent might be stuck.

Observe and Manage

ModeWhat you get
ObserveThe rating is recorded and the job keeps running. Start here.
ManageThe same check can pause an interactive job when it looks badly off track, so you can look before more work continues. Non-interactive jobs are still only rated.

In config these are stored as shadow and live. The dashboard always says Observe and Manage.

Pausing is stricter than the pill. A run can read On track 85% and keep going. Manage mode pauses only when the goal chance is 25% or lower, or when a requirement looks seriously unmet. After you approve, that phase is not paused again for the same flag.

Turn it on in the wizard

Settings → Run setup wizard. Overseer is the third step, after the model and the code host. Both of those steps have Skip for now.

On the Overseer step:

  • Paste a Jev API key if you have one, leave the mode on Observe, and choose Turn on Overseer.
  • Choose Skip — I don’t have a key if you do not. Coro does not need Jev. Skipping keeps a key you already saved.

Turn it on in Settings

Settings → Extensions → Overseer.

  1. Set Mode to Observe — record only.
  2. Paste the API key, or leave it blank to use CORO_DECISION_API_KEY (or TYPESAFE_API_KEY when that is unset).
  3. Leave base URL, model, and timeout blank unless you have a reason to override them. The default model is jev-1.13.0.
  4. Save all changes.

Overseer scope defaults to every workflow. When flagged defaults to pausing interactive jobs, which only applies once you switch the mode to Manage.

If Jev cannot be reached, the job continues and no rating is invented.

If you do not want it

Leave the mode on Off, or never add a key. No check runs, and runs do not show the pill.
